WHS boys top WB, stay unbeaten in SBAAC

GEORGETOWN — Wilmington and Western Brown split SBAAC American Division matches Tuesday with Western Brown at Community Lanes.

In the girls match, Wilmington battled two close games in the regular rounds, falling 753 to 739 and 743 to 722.

Western Brown won the baker games by 64 pins to seal the 99-pin victory.

Haylee Wright had a 179 game and Alexia Frazier bowled a 172 game. Ariel Comberger was the overall top bowler for WHS with a 329 series.

New Richmond is unbeaten at 6-0 in the division while Wilmington and Western Brown are both 5-2.

For the boys, Wilmington put together a solid all-around match in remaining unbeaten at 7-0 in the American Division regular season standings. Western Brown is 5-3.

WHS had a 2,008 total in the two regular games then finished at 603 in the trio of baker games.

Jordan Tackett led WHS with a 446 series but each bowler had a solid match for the Hurricane.
