WILMINGTON — The Wilmington High School boys bowling team finished second to Clinton-Massie Monday in the Muskingum Invitational at Royal Z Lanes.

Elijah Martini was third overall and Jordan Macik was fifth and both made the all-tournament team.

The Hurricane had three solid team games and three strong baker games (215, 265, 205) before faltering with three sub-par baker games (158,1 49, 145).

Despite that, WHS was the No. 1 seed going into the bracket portion of the tournament. Wilmington defeated Hillsboro in the semifinal round then lost to the Falcons in the finals.

Martini finished with a 604 series while Macik had a 589. Grant Pickard bowled a 576 series.
