Blan’s Allen tops National Division bowlers at Royal Z

WILMINGTON — Blanchester’s Josh Allen was the top tournament bowler Saturday in the SBAAC National Division Championship at Royal Z Lanes.

Allen had a big day, bowling games of 246 and 278 to finish with a 700 series, the overall best score among National Division bowlers. He earned first-team All-SBAAC honors.

In the boys tournament, Clermont Northeastern was unbeaten on the day but Georgetown won the overall National Division championship.

For East Clinton, Freddy Morgan earned first team honors for the season. He had a 215 game and 527 series in the tournament. Grant Wisecup had a personal best 212 game Saturday.

On the girls side, Clermont Northeastern won the tournament after finishing tied with Williamsburg for the regular season title.

For East Clinton, the Lady Astros were third in the tournament and fourth overall.

August Morgan earned first team All-SBAAC honors.

Josie Runk had a personal best 200 game, which was an all spare, strike game in the second game of the tournament. Jestiny Hughes had a personal best 167 game.
