CM bowling teams both finish fifth in SCOL

HILLSBORO — The Clinton-Massie boys and girls bowling teams finished fifth in the South Central Ohio League tournament Monday at Highland Lanes.

Aric France had a 623 series and earned first-team All-SCOL honors for the season with a 209 average.

The boys finished with a 2,960 team total, with Baker games of 147 and 149.

The girls had a 2,427 team total with Baker games of 159 and 127.

Brittany Fry led the Lady Falcons with a 526 (164, 174, 188) with Josie Wolfe coming in with a 412 (148, 139, 125).

Two-games series were bowled by Casey Cochran (155, 151) and Katie Starnes (141, 141). Single games were bowled by Kathryn Wilson (117), Gwen Broderick (124), Carole Umstead (147) and Rachel Cochran (120).

For the boys, Corey Potts followed France with 585 series, with games of 200, 173 and 212. Two-game series were bowled by Kenton McInerney (182, 166), David Poynter (144, 174) and Jacob Wellman (169, 144). Single games were bowled by Joey Marburger (147) and Chandler Morsch (189).
