The Blanchester eighth grade boys basketball team was defeated by Hamersville 41-39 Monday in the semifinal round of the league tournament.

Dameon Williams was the top scorer for Blanchester with 13 points. Kaden Cromer had 12 points.

Evan Malott tossed in nine while Bryce Burress contributed three points. Nainoa Tangonan chipped in with two points.
