Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School seventh grade boys basketball team was defeated 37-34 by Batavia in overtime Saturday in the semifinal round of the SBAAC tournament.

Eddie Brooks sent the game to overtime with an old-fashioned three-point play with 2.2 seconds to play in the game.

Cam Griffith led Wilmington with 13 points and strong rebounding. Brady Tolliver added eight points while Michael Noszka had six points and played well defensively, coach Jody Drake said. Chase Ficker added four points and Brooks finished with three.

“I couldn’t be more proud of this group and how they never quit all season with everything they had to deal with,” Drake said.
