Trailblazers trample Hurricane baseball 9-2

For the Wilmington High School baseball, it seems when one or two parts of the game play well, the others falters.

Such was the case Saturday in a 9-2 loss to the Cincinnati Trailblazers.

Coach Brian Roberts said the defense for his Hurricane was “much better” but nine walks by the pitching staff “hurt us.”

“We just need to put all three phases of our game together,” he said.

Jordan Tackett had a double and triple. Cole Fickert had a double and drove in a run. Kaiden Smith and Jayden Tackett also had doubles.
