ADAMS TOWNSHIP — Clinton-Massie took care of business and got the break it needed Wednesday night.
The Falcons defeated Western Brown 9-2 to go to 6-3 in the American Division while New Richmond was besting Goshen 7-5. Both the Lions and Warriors are 6-3 as well.
Massie (9-8 overall) finishes the league with Batavia while New Richmond plays Wilmington and Goshen plays Wilmington. Each of the three teams can clinch a share of the crown with a win.
Kody Zantene was the winning pitcher, running his record to 5-0.
“We have rode his shoulders in the majority of these league contests and he has done a great job of keeping runs at a minimum,” CM coach Brian Camp said.
Tyler Keck keyed the offense with a two-out, two-run single in the first inning. Keck had two hits as did Nate Wildermuth. Garrett Vance had a run-scoring single.
