Eric Guindon posted the overall low score in the Clinton County Youth Council disc golf tournament April 16 at the CCYC disc golf course.
Guindon carded a 66 score (43-23) over 27 holes.
Donaven Bullard won the 18 and under junior division with a 70, Aiden Ewing won the 12 and under junior division with an 81 and Ashlee Stuckert won the female beginner division with a 76. Chris Spisak was the winner in the intermediate division with a 71 for 27 holes.
Kevin Walls and Taylor Stuckert tied for first at 27 holes in the beginning division with 89s. Stuckert then won a playoff on the first hole.
The CCYC disc golf course is located on the grounds of CCYC’s after-school youth center at 302 W. Sugartree St. Disc golf follows the rules of traditional ball golf, with the difference of a flying disc replacing a golf ball and clubs. A golf disc is thrown from a tee area to a target (a suspended metal basket) which is the “hole.”
The project was made possible with support of Alkermes, which purchased the nine disc golf baskets for the course in 2015. The course design snakes and traverses a partially wooded layout throughout the five-acre campus that has direct access to the Luther Warren Peace Path. Ewing Tree Service is an official sponsor of the CCYC Disc Golf Course and was named Business Community Service Leader of the year at the tournament.
