LEESBURG — The Clinton-Massie girls soccer team opened its season Saturday with a 4-1 win over Fairfield in non-league play in Highland County.

“Team showed great poise and we maintained good possession of the ball,” the CM coach said. “Have to continue to work and get better every day. Proud of their first game.”

Massie will play at Wilmington’s Alumni Field 7 p.m. Tuesday.

Against the Lions, Marina Feldhaus, Katy McGuinness, Kylee Lamb and Aiden Eades tallied the CM goals.
