ROB 7th grade boys rally from 12-point deficit to post 50-48 win

The Rodger O. Borror Middle School seventh grade boys basketball team posted a come-from-behind 50-48 win over Winton Woods Saturday morning.

The young Hurricane, now 9-2 on the year, rallied from a 12-point deficit with a full-court press in the second half, coach Ken Platt said. Mekhi Scott and Avery Warix came off the ROB bench to play “some great minutes” in the win, Platt said.

Brett Brooks paced the Wilmington offense with 15 points.

Isaiah Rigling had 13 points, all in the second half. Andrew Stewart tossed in 12 points. Colin Ames added eight points. Zanie Cowin and Kellen Baltazar had one point each.
