WILMINGTON — The Wilmington High School lacrosse team was defeated by Johnstown-Monroe 7-2 Monday at Alumni Field.

The Hurricane, now 1-5 on the year, got goals from Blake Frazier and Cody Cravens. Frazier is the fifth new player to score a goal this season for WHS, coach Adam Shultz said.

Conner Barton made 29 saves in goal.

“Barton was sensational in goal,” Shultz said. “He kept us in the game all four quarters. The defense is starting to play as a unit. The defense created nine forced take-aways. The last two games our communication has improved, as a result shots are now 10-12 yards away, not on the crease.”

Wilmington will host Talawanda 6 p.m. April 24 at Alumni Field.
