GOSHEN – With a shuffled lineup, the Clinton-Massie tennis team defeated Goshen 4-1 in a non-league match Wednesday afternoon.
“As the season winds down, the boys continue to improve against balanced competition,” CM coach Lynn Deatherage said.
The Falcons are 5-8 on the season and are scheduled to play at Little Miami Thursday.
Cole Isaacs and Pierce LeVangie fell behind 0-3 then rallied for a 7-5, 6-1 victory at second doubles.
Zach and Joe Hammonds were 6-4, 7-5 winners at first doubles.
Deatherage said Mitchell Bill turned in a solid match at second singles.
Clayton Amburgy battled to a first singles win of 6-0, 3-6, 7-6 (8-6). Deatherage said intermittent rain showers threatened the third set.
