EC drops SCOL thriller to Trace

EBER — The East Clinton volleyball team rallied Tuesday night against Miami Trace but came up short in South Central Ohio League volleyball action, 25-21, 21-25, 13-25, 25-23, 9-15.

“The girls fought hard the whole time,” EC coach Sarah Sodini said. “The three senior defensive specialists — Sam Bronson, Taylor Spence and Alexis Haines — did awesome. Kate Durbin had an amazing game at the net.”

Sam Gaddis had 19 assists, four blocks and five digs. Bronson had two aces and five digs. Spence had an ace and eight digs. Haines had an ace, a kill and 11 digs. Sydney Landrum had two kills and a dig.

Kayla Hall had four kills and two digs. Paige Lilly had a kill and seven digs. Kenzie Campbell had four blocks, four kills and nine digs. Durbin had 10 kills, five blocks and seven digs.

Lynchburg will provide the opposition Wednesday as East Clinton holds its annual Volley for the Cure event.
