BETHEL — The Blanchester High School tennis team remained unbeaten in league play Thursday with a 5-0 victory over Bethel-Tate in Southern Buckeye Athletic & Academic Conference National Division action here at the middle school.

Blanchester is now 3-1 overall and 2-0 in league play. Bethel-Tate is 0-2, 0-2.

“I continue to be impressed with the strong play of our doubles,” BHS coach Matt Sexton said. “It continues to be a real strength for this team.”

Alexis Vestal and Korie White won at first doubles while Grace King and Kayla Allen were winners at second doubles.

“I’m pleased Erin (Wilson) and Lilly (Tedrick) were able to pull out wins on days where they didn’t play their best,” Sexton said. “It’s a big jump from first doubles last year to the top of the lineup and they’re still learning the ropes there. The more they win, the more confidence they’ll play with.”
