The Blanchester eighth grade volleyball team defeated Georgetown 25-9, 25-14 Tuesday night.

With the help of back row players Rianna Mueller and Emma Winemiller, setters Taylynn Barr and Taylor Combs had a combined 10 assists, coach Amanda Kay said.

Combs also had six aces and two kills while Barr finished with two kills and two aces.

Madison Creager contributed seven aces, a kill and a block. Makenna Maddix tallied two kills and six blocks at the net. Brooklyn Bockstiegel had two kills and Sam Naylor added one kill. Lacie Tedrick finished with a kill and three blocks while Autum Medley had a block.
