KETTERING – Wilmington’s Simon Heys won the Neal Charske Firebird Invitational cross country meet Saturday at Fairmont High School.
Heys clocked a 16:38.3 on the 3.1-mile layout. There were 210 runners in the boys varsity race.
Tristin Vail led the Lady Hurricane with a 48th-place finish in 23:03.7.
In the boys reserve race, Jackson Tofte hit the line first for WHS in 21:19.1, a season’s best time.
