BLANCHESTER – The Clinton-Massie Middle School boys track and field team finished as the runnersup Thursday in the Blanchester Middle School Invitational at Barbour Memorial Field.
The Falcons had 77 points while team champion West Clermont finished with 90.5. Blanchester was fourth with 63.5 and East Clinton seventh with 36 points.
The young Falcons had a pair of event winners – Richie Federle in the 800-meter run (2:23.4) and Carter Frank in the 100-meter dash (12.28).
Troy Hedstrom claimed Blanchester’s lone victory by winning the discus with a toss of 113-7.
East Clinton did not have any event winners. Van Frye broke his own school record in the 800-meter run set in 2017. He finished second in the event at 2:23.85.
