Lady Astros edge Ladycats on BHS courts


BLANCHESTER – East Clinton edged Blanchester 3-2 Thursday in SBAAC National Division tennis action on the BHS courts.

The Ladycats fall to 1-9 on the year. East Clinton 3-2 in National Division play.

East Clinton swept the three singles matches while Blanchester took care of business in the two doubles matches.

“I was really proud of our team,” EC coach Doug Stehlin said. “Singles came through big tonight. Lot of credit to Blanchester. We have had really good and close matches the last few seasons.”

Stehlin said Erin Kratzer won her third match of the year as a freshman at third singles. Haley Harrell posted a first singles win for EC and Paige Harrell clinched the match for the Lady Astros with a win at second singles.
