Despite loss, WHS finishes with best season record

CENTERVILLE – Despite losing its regular season finale, the Wilmington High School girls tennis team finished with the best season record in school history.

Wilmington lost to Centerville 4-1 on Tuesday but finished at 13-3 overall, the best single season record, coach Doug Cooper said. The previous best single season mark was 12-5 in 2016.

The Lady Hurricane also won the SBAAC American Division championship with a 9-1 record.
