Rockets blast off for 3 in second half, beat ‘Cats 6-3

OWENSVILLE – In the continuation of a weather-delayed match from last week, the Blanchester boys soccer team was defeated by Clermont Northeastern 6-3 Monday in an SBAAC National Division match at CNE.

Blanchester trailed 3-2 when the match was halted last week with 90 seconds to play in the first half,

When play resumed on Monday, the Wildcats scored with four seconds remaining in the half when Carter Stevens tied the match at 3-3. Colton Wilson was credited with an assist.

In the second half, though, it was all Rockets. CNE scored three goals to post the three-goal win.

Gavin Colebank had nine saves in goal for Blanchester.
