EC volleyball throttles Felicity in 3

FELICITY – The East Clinton volleyball team overpowered Felicity-Franklin 25-16, 25-20, 25-8 Thursday night in an SBAAC National Division match.

EC coach Sarah Sodini said Rhylee Luttrell had a strong match with serve receive. Kenzie Campbell also had a solid game, making good decisions and hustling, Sodini said. Megan Stewart gave the Lady Astros momentum with her play.

“The second (set) was a little slower than I’d like, but they made up for it in the third game,” Sodini said.

Stewart had six aces, four kills, two assists and two digs. Luttrell had a dig and Campbell had three aces, 12 kills, two assists and three digs.

Lacey Peterman finished with three aces, five kills, 11 assists and five digs. Miranda Beener recorded two digs and Myah Jones chipped in an ace, six kills, a block, 16 assists and three digs.

Gracie Evanshine had a kill and Katrina Bowman posted an ace and two assists. Kiya Byrd’s numbers were three aces, three kills and an assist. Kaitlin Durbin had three aces, three kills and five digs.
