Clinton-Massie’s Davey Tunon was named first team All-Ohio running back in Division IV Tuesday by The Associated Press.

Tunon’s teammate and one of the mainstay blockers up front, Jake Garrison, was named to the Div. IV second team All-Ohio squad.

Clinton-Massie’s Hunter Fentress was given special mention All-Ohio in Div. IV while Wilmington’s Dylan Beaugard was given special mention in Div. III.

All of the Clinton countians were named first team All-Southwest District by an area media panel.

Beaugard, a 5-10, 170-pound sophomore, was multi-faceted this season for the Hurricane. He rushed for 410 yards and six touchdowns on just 34 attempts. Beaugard caught 39 passes for 621 yards and four touchdowns. On defense, he led WHS with 49 tackles.

Fentress, a 6-1, 175-pound senior quarterback, was named to the first team along with Indian Hill’s Reed Aichholz, who earned Div. IV offensive player of the year honors.

Fentress was 86-126 for 1,525 yards passing during the regular season with 17 points and just two interceptions. He ran 37 times for 348 yards and seven touchdowns.

Tunon, a 5-8, 170-pound senior running back who was third team All-Ohio last year, gained 1,072 yards and scored 15 touchdowns on the ground in 129 regular season attempts. He had three games of eight carries or less because of the lopsided score.

He had back-to-back school record performances in the post-season, however, gaining 371 yards rushing and six touchdowns against Taft and then 393 yards and five touchdowns against Indian Hill.

Garrison, a 6-3, 285-pound senior offensive lineman, led the way for the Falcons up front on both sides of the ball, but earned offensive honors from AP. He was first team All-Ohio as junior.

The AP honors only consider regular season statistics.
