The Blanchester seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams were both defeated by Georgetown on Monday.
The eighth grade suffered a 53-19 defeat to fall to 1-7.
Jayden Purdy led Blanchester with seven points. Dylan Creager had six points and Gabe Faulkner added three. Kyle Garrett scored two points and Levi Montgomery added a free throw. Faulkner, Garrett and Dustin Trace grabbed three rebounds each. Zach West had three assists.
In the seventh grade game, Blanchester is now 3-5 following a 55-26 defeat. Georgetown scored the final 23 points of the third quarter to break open a close game.
Bryce Sipple had seven points and Braz Byrom tossed in six. Sky Smith scored four points and Xander Culberson had three. Nick Taylor, Drew Wyss and Cole Bradley scored two points each. Sipple had seven rebounds, three assists and nine blocked shots. Bradley grabbed six rebounds and Taylor had five.
