EC junior high boys basketball drops pair to Goshen

The East Clinton seventh and eighth grade boys basketball teams were defeated by Goshen Tuesday night.

The East Clinton seventh grade was defeated 52-16 and is now 2-9 on the season.

Austin Kmatz, Maddix Crowe and Denver Day had four points each. Aaron Rolfe scored three points. Mason Miller made a free throw.

In the eighth grade game, the Astros were defeatd 40-37. The two teams were tied at each quarter break.

Gage Jarrell had 12 points and Dakota Collom scored 10.

Dylan Day and Isaiah Conger had six points each. Colten Haffner made two free throws and Mason Morrow connected on one.

East Clinton lost to Goshen by 31 points earlier in the season, EC coach Herb Mihalik said.

“The boys played extremely hard on both the offensive and defensive ends,” Mihalik said. “Gage Jarrell had his best game of the season … and had several rebounds on both the offensive and defensive boards.”
