WHS boys 3rd, girls 4th at Bellbrook Invitational

BEAVERCREEK – Nine Wilmington relay teams and 16 individual swimmers scored at the Bellbrook Invitational at the Dayton Raiders Aquatic Center Friday.

Girls relay teams that scored include the fifth-place 200-yard medley relay team of Meredith Robinson, Mady Steinmetz, Rachael Billups and Petra Bray; the fifth-place 200 free relay team of Abby Greene, Billups, Shannon O’Boyle and Leah Deck; the ninth-place 200 free relay team of Anna Garnai, Carrie Robinson, Emma Schroeder and Chloe Deck; the fourth-place 400 free relay team of O’Boyle, Greene, Leah Deck and Bray; and the eighth-place 400 free relay team of Garnai, Steinmetz, Chloe Deck and Meredith Robinson.

Boys relay teams that scored include the 10th-place 200 medley relay team of Luke Mulvey, Ian Frary, Izaia Billingsley and Parker Henry; the first-place team 200 free relay team and second-place 400 free relay team of Josh Andrews, P.J. Godsey, Jordan Davis and Ricky Dungan; and the eighth-place 400 free relay team of Henry, Riley Ibaugh, Aiden Hester and Mulvey.

Davis and Dungan had first-place finishes in the 100 fly and 100 free, respectively. Davis also took second place in the 200 individual medley. Dungan also finished third in the 200 free.

Other boys individual scorers were Hester (11th, 200 free), Mulvey (9th, 200 IM), Andrews (4th, 50 free and 3rd, 100 breast), Billingsley (9th, 100 fly), Godsey (9th, 100 free), Hester (6th, 500 free) Barrett Powell (7th, 500 free) and Mulvey (6th, 100 back).

Individual girls scorers were O’Boyle (11th, 200 free and 7th, 500 free), Meredith Robinson (9th, 200 IM and 8th, 100 back), Steinmetz (11th, 200 IM and 7th 100 breast), Bray (6th, 50 free and 8th, 100 fly), Greene (5th, 100 fly), Leah Deck (7th, 100 free), Billups (8th, 100 free and 6th, 100 back) and Garnai (8th, 500 free).

TEAM RESULTS

GIRLS: Bellbrook 154, Oakwood 145, Eaton 112, Wilmington 62, Dayton Christian 22, National Trail 14, Greenon 9.

BOYS: Oakwood 141, Bellbrook 100, Wilmington 91, Dayton Christian 79, Eaton 65, Greenon 34, Mechanicsburg 7.
