Hurricane, Wildcats in battle of SBAAC unbeatens

SBAAC American Division champion Wilmington gets a league showdown with National Division champion Williamsburg 7:30 p.m. Saturday in a Bud Phillips Scholarship Crossover game.

The JV game is set to tipoff at 6 p.m. The varsity will follow. On Twitter, follow Shawn Robinson (@twinzdad01) for updates on the game.

Wilmington is 17-4 on the year. Williamsburg is 17-3. Both are undefeated in SBAAC play.

Blanchester and East Clinton will be hosting SBAAC Bud Phillips Scholarship Crossover girls basketball games Saturday.

New Richmond will visit Lees Creek to face the Lady Astros. The JV game is set to tip at 6 p.m. with the varsity to follow at approximately 7:30 p.m.

Blanchester will host Batavia with the JV game to tip at 6 p.m. and the varsity to follow.

Clinton-Massie will travel to Clermont Northeastern with the JV game set for a Noon start and the varsity to follow at approximately 1:30 p.m.

Other crossover matchups are Goshen at Georgetown (1:30 p.m. varsity tipoff) and Western Brown at Bethel-Tate (5 p.m. varsity only) on Saturday and Covington Latin at Felicity-Franklin 6 p.m. Monday night.

The Bud Phillips Scholarship is presented each year to an SBAAC male and female senior athlete. All gate proceeds go toward the scholarship. All crossover games are considered tournament games, so school passes will not be accepted.

Tickets are $6 for adults and $4 for students, seniors and veterans.
