SBAAC 8th grade boys: ROB, CM win openers

In the SBAAC North Division 8th grade boys basketball tournament Saturday, Wilmington’s Rodger O. Borror Middle School and Clinton-Massie were both victorious.

Clinton-Massie defeated East Clinton 43-38. The young Astros, coached by Herb Mihalik and assisted by Cam Conner, trailed by 10 going to the fourth quarter but pulled within three with 30 seconds to play.

Dakota Collom had 21 points to lead East Clinton. Isaiah Conger added nine while Gage Jarrell scored six. Dylan Day tossed in a pair of free throws.

Blanchester was defeated by the Borror eighth graders. Kyle Garrett led Blanchester with nine points. Zach West added eight. Levi Montgomery and Dylan Creager tossed in four points each. Gabe Faulkner and Tyler Bussell had two points each.
