Thiel outscores Wilmington lacrosse 18-9

GREENVILLE, Pa. – The Wilmington College men’s lacrosse team was defeated by Thiel College 18-9 Wednesday night in the first of four straight road matches.

Connor Judge and Zac Chucta had three goals each. Andrew Miller had two goals and two assists.

Austin Young scored the first goal of the match for Wilmington but Thiel led 5-3 after one and 9-5 at the half. Thiel won the third period 7-1.

The Fightin’ Quakers are 2-2 on the year under first-year head coach Jeff Arneson, who coached at Thiel for seven seasons.

Wilmington continues its road swing at Washington & Jefferson College 7 p.m. Saturday.
