BLANCHESTER — Organized by the Blanchester Area Chamber of Commerce, the inaugural Veterans Welcome Home 5K Run/Walk is scheduled for Monday, July 4.

In-person registration begins at 7 a.m. July 4 with an 8 a.m. start of the 5K at Veterans Memorial Park, 919 South Broadway Street, Blanchester.

Registration is $30 for those 16 and older, and $20 for kids 15 and under. Refreshments and snacks will be provided.

Awards will be given for age-range winners: 10 and under; 11-20; 21-30; 31-40; 41-50; and 51 and above. The age-range winners are gender combined. There also are awards for overall female and overall male.
