Two people were killed and one injured in a two-vehicle accident Tuesday morning at the intersection of US 22/SR 3 and SR 350. The victims have not yet been identified.
According to Lt. Matt Hamilton of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, the victims appear to be in their mid to late seventies. He said the preliminary investigation shows that at approximately 10:17 a.m. the victims were in a Mercury sedan heading south on SR 350 in Warren County near the Clinton County line and either failed to stop at a stop sign or had pulled out when the car was struck by a westbound truck with “Riverside Stock Farm Topsoil” on the side. The driver of the truck was transported to Bethesda Arrow Springs in Lebanon with non-life-threatening injuries.
As of 12:30 p.m. the roads remained closed at the intersection. More than a dozen emergency vehicles were at the scene including respondents from the OSHP, Clinton-Warren Joint Fire District, Wilmington Fire Department, Ohio Department of Transportation and the Warren County Coroner.
