WC men, women split meet with TMC

Wilmington College and Thomas More split a dual relay meet Tuesday on the Quaker campus course.

Wilmington won the men’s race while Thomas More claimed victory in the women’s race.

In the men’s race, Wilmington’s Hunter and Griffith Stith finished first in 1:02.58 while teammates Rick Pride and Dominic King were runnersup in 1:04.59.

Elliot Phillimore and Tony Wydra were seventh in 1:08.59; Matt Baker and Blanchester graduate Gage Egner were eighth in 1:10.28, Cameron Erwin and Blanchester graduate Jeff Cook were ninth in 1:14.40 and Dustin Willey and Travis Scheadler were 11th in 1:22.08.

On the women’s side, Blanchester graduate Brooke Gibbons and Alexis Rhodes were second for WC in 56:12 while Stephanie Fetters and Mary Krebs were fourth in 59:24.

Each woman would run a two-mile loop and then their partner would run a two-mile loop. Each group would run the loop twice. For the men, each group ran the loop three times.

The run was continuous like a relay until each group had completed the requirements.
