CMMS volleyball sweeps Trace

The Clinton-Massie Middle School volleyball teams swept a pair of matches Thursday from Miami Trace.

The seventh grade came out on top 25-22, 17-25, 26-24.

Karsyn Lisle “was a key player in the win and had a great game in the back row,” coach Kari Rudduck said.

Kari Cragwall had seven aces as the young Lady Falcons improved to 5-3 on the year.

The eighth grade posted a 25-22, 25-12 win. The Lady Falcons trailed 17-8 in the first set.

Carly Moritz had two aces, two kills and two assists, in her first match as a setter. Liza Duncan had three aces, two kills, four assists and multiple digs, coach Aubrey Hoffman said.

“Liza really stepped up the intensity and took ownership of the court,” Hoffman added.
