FROM WLWT, CINCINNATI:
A police captain in Warren County was killed Wednesday night when three cars collided in Clark County. He was off-duty at the time.
Captain Steven Bucholtz, 45, had served the village of Harveysburg for the last 13 years.
Burcholtz was in his personal vehicle when a pick-up truck rear ended a car then went left of center and into Bucholtz’s path.
The driver of the truck refused treatment. The driver of the other car was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Bucholtz was well known in the village where he was a part-time officer. He had been with the Harveysburg Police Department since 2002, right after he graduated from the academy.
