Hughes tops Blan Inv. girls field

BLANCHESTER — Clinton County had the top three individuals and the overall top team, but Clinton-Massie’s Katie Hughes was the class of the field Wednesday in the Blanchester Invitational girls cross country race at BHS.

Hughes finished first by nearly 30 seconds, clocking a 21:42.1.

Blanchester’s Savannah Rhodes was second in 22:09.11 and teammate Olivia Gundler was third in 22:13.9.

The Ladycats were the top team in the event. Batavia and Felicity also had complete teams.

Veronica Brewer was the top runner for East Clinton finishing in 27:22.77.
