ECJH drops pair to Greenfield

GREENFIELD — The East Clinton Junior High School volleyball teams lost a pair of matches Thursday to Greenfield.

The eighth grade was defeated 14-25, 21-25.

Kiya Byrd had one kill and one dig. Riley Flint had one dig. Alexia Garen had one point, one ace, one kill and one dig. Jessica Hoskins had one dig. Camille Hughes had one point and one kill.

Myah Jones had two points, two aces, two kills and one dig. Reagan Landrum had one kill and one dig. Emma Malone had six points, there aces, and one dig.

The seventh grade was defeated 23-25, 19-25.

“Sometimes you show up to a game and you do a lot of things right but on that particular night, the other team just does more things right and wins the match,” said coach Jaime Evanshine. “It was a great game for both teams but Greenfield got to 25 before we did.”

Gracie Evanshine had seven points, four aces and two digs. Alexis Rolfe had three points and a dig. Holly Bernhard served three points. Katrina Bowman had two aces and a kill. Lauren Hadley had a point and two kills. Jericka Boggs had a point, two kills, a block and a dig. Gracie Boggs had a point and two kills. Braylynn Malone and Marci Ellis had one dig each.
