With a pink-clad Volley For the Cure crowd looking on, the Wilmington High School volleyball team defeated East Clinton 25-11, 25-21, 25-16 in South Central Ohio League action at Fred Summers Court.
“The girls were pretty pumped,” WHS coach Jordan Watson said. “They worked together as a team.”
Kyerston Miller led WHS with 17 serves and 11 kills and in hits, Watson said.
Meghan Fisher had 15 serves and passed very well, Watson noted, while Macy Fulton had 10 hits/kills and five serves. Sarah Quallen and Carly Eden had seven hits/kills each. Leyah Bradshaw had 10 serves.
Brooklyn Keaton had nine serves and four hits/kills. Ashlynn Hickey had six serves and a hit. Makayla McGraw had three hits and a kill. Quallen and Fulton had two blocks each.
