Mohawks blank Wildcat freshmen 18-0


The Blanchester High School freshman football team was defeated by Middletown Madison 18-0 Thursday.

Madison scored three first half touchdowns to secure the win.

Blanchester had just 85 total yards in the first half and turned the ball over two times.

The Wildcats defense, led by Cody McCollister, Austin Walker and Chace Sicurella who had four tackles each, did not allow the Mohawks to score in the second half.

On offense, Dustin Howard rushed for 32 yards and was 2-for-8 passing for 12 yards. Ramiro Torres also had 32 yards on the ground. Dale Sturgill rushed for 25 yards and Tavor Mowry had 10 yards rushing.

Blanchester will play at Hamilton Badin 5 p.m. Oct. 22.
