Sam Spirk capped off a brilliant regular season with two goals and two assists as the Wilmington High School boys soccer team defeated Miami Trace 5-0 in a South Central Ohio League match at Alumni Field.

The Hurricane sophomore is the single season goals (34), assists (16) and points (84) record holder at WHS.

The Hurricane has at least one game remaining on the schedule, 7 p.m. Tuesday at Edgewood in a Div. II sectional tournament matchup.

Against the Panthers, Avery Greenlees, Kaden Laufer and Wyatt Kessler also had goals. Kessler and Nate Lakes also had assists.

Wilmington is 11-3-2 on the year.
