Jackson, Lang given honorable mention All-OAC

AUSTINTOWN — Two Wilmington College men’s lacrosse players were honored by the Ohio Athletic Conference.

Senior Jalen Jackson (Hilliard, OH/Bradley) and sophomore Jhordan Lang (Sunbury, OH/Big Walnut) were named honorable mention All-OAC in a voting by league coaches.

“I am very proud of these two young men,” said Wilmington head coach Domenic Marzano. “They worked extremely hard all year and deserved to be recognized for their performances. Jhordan improved every game and it was great to see him take a much bigger workload this season. He played his best lacrosse in conference. I am looking forward to seeing him continue his improvement next season.

“Jalen had an excellent career at WC. It’s going to be tough to replacement a guy like Jalen. He did so much for our lacrosse program on and off the field.”

Jackson was second on the team with 37 points, 19 goals and a team-high 18 assists. He started the season with three goals in each of the first four games, and scored in six straight. He finished his Wilmington career with 112 goals and 104 assists.

It’s the second time Jackson has been honored by the OAC, he was a 2014 First Team selection following his sophomore season.

Lang was tied for second on the team with 19 goals and was third with 12 assists. He tallied a goal in eight of the last nine games, and scored in six of the seven OAC contests.

Wilmington finished 6-8 overall, 2-5 in the OAC.
