The Blanchester Ducks baseball team has advanced to the Greater Cincinnati Knothole Association Class C Junior 10U city tournament for the second straight season.
The Ducks were 13-3 this season while playing in the Clermont County East Region. The Ducks were the runnersup in the league.
“This is a huge accomplishment for these boys because a lot of young boys never get the opportunity to play in the city tournament,” Ducks head coach Ron Robinson said. “We are the only Blanchester knothole baseball team to make it (to the city tournament) the last two years. I’m very proud of these boys and my coaches and parents for getting them to and from games and practices.”
The Ducks will open city tournament play at the Blue Ash Crosley Field complex 3 p.m. Saturday against the Northern Kentucky Blue Devils, coach Robinson said.
