BLANCHESTER — The Blanchester reserve football team defeated Williamsburg 43-6 Saturday.
Coach Brian Damewood said the young Wildcats “for the third week in a row … dominated their opponents in all three phases of the game.”
Cody Henson had a big day, running for three touchdowns while Junior Torres exploded for a 50-yard scoring run.
Tanner Creager had a passing touchdown and extended his two-point conversion streak to seven games. Daniel Davenport had his first receiving touchdown of the season.
Jasper Damewood, BHS kicker, went 5-for-5 on extra point attempts.
On defense, Blanchester did not allow a WHS first down until the third quarter, Damewood said. The entire defensive unit played well throughout the game, Damewood added.
Spencer Dissell scored on a long interception return for a touchdown. Andrew Frump recovered a WHS fumble to set-up a BHS scoring opportunity.
Damewood said Torres had two tackles for loss while Kadin Berwanger, Seth Caldwell, Dissell, Chace Sicurella and Lucas Thacker had one tackle for loss each.
