Reds release 2017 Cactus League schedule

CINCINNATI – The Cincinnati Reds have announced their 2017 Cactus League exhibition schedule.

The Reds open the 2017 spring training season on the road vs the San Francisco Giants on Feb. 24 at Scottsdale Stadium before facing the American League champion Cleveland Indians on Feb. 25 at Goodyear Ballpark.

The Reds’ official Cactus League home opener at Goodyear Ballpark will be Sunday, Feb. 26 vs the Giants.

The Reds will play 38 spring training and exhibition games, including 19 in Goodyear.

Highlights of the home schedule at Goodyear Ballpark include the 2016 World Series Champion Chicago Cubs on March 2 and 22, Kansas City Royals on March 4 and 7, Texas Rangers on March 18, Seattle Mariners on March 26 and the Los Angeles Dodgers on March 28.

The Reds will play two games against the Cubs in Las Vegas on March 25 and 26 at Cashman Field, home of the Las Vegas 51s.

The Reds wrap up the 2017 Cactus League schedule on March 29 vs the Indians at Goodyear Ballpark before playing exhibition Futures Games on March 31 in Louisville at Louisville Slugger Field and on April 1 in Dayton at Fifth Third Field.

The Reds return to Cincinnati on Monday, April 3 to host the Philadelphia Phillies for 2017 Opening Day at Great American Ball Park.

Spring Training Ticket Information

Individual game tickets go on sale Thursday, Dec. 1 at 10 a.m. MST (12 p.m. ET). Deposits are currently being accepted for 2017 Spring Training season ticket plans. Full season (all Reds and Indians home games) and half season (all Reds home games) ticket plans are available. Group tickets go on sale Monday, Nov. 21 at 10 a.m. Mountain Standard Time (MST).

Mini-Plans/Flex Ticket Books

Other ticket options include mini-plans where fans are able to combine Reds and Indians home games to make up the perfect spring training getaway and Flex Ticket Books which offer booklets of either 10 Infield Box or Outfield Box discount ticket vouchers. Save $2 per ticket by redeeming vouchers at Goodyear Ballpark Box Office for any spring training home game. Mini-Plans go on sale Nov. 28 and Flex Ticket Books are on sale now.

Iglesias Bobblehead

Raisel “Cyclone” Iglesias will be the subject of this season’s spring training bobblehead giveaway to the first 2,000 fans before the Reds vs. Rockies night game on Friday, March 10. This unique bobblehead will highlight Raisel’s forearm tattoos that spell out “Ciclon Iglesias.”

Fiesta de Bèisbol

Experience Goodyear Ballpark’s first Fiesta de Bèisbol Weekend, March 18 and 19. The Reds game vs. the Texas Rangers on March 18 will lead off this exciting themed weekend

Kids Days

Every Sunday is “Kids Day” at Goodyear Ballpark and this year it’s better than ever. In addition to inflatables, postgame Run the Bases and other activities, the Wildlife World Zoo will bring an all-star lineup of zoo animals to the ballpark. Kids will be able to interact with various animals each Sunday. All kids will receive a free pass to the Wildlife World Zoo & Aquarium.
