BLANCHESTER — A local resident recently indicted for drug trafficking was arrested last Tuesday with drugs and related items, a large amount of cash and an air pistol, police said.

According to Blanchester Police Chief Scott Reinbolt, on Tuesday morning, Nov. 15, Ptl. Kristen Jeffers was on patrol when she noticed Christina Stover, 25, at the Scrubbing Bubbles Car Wash on West Main Street. Jeffers knew that Stover was indicted at a recent session of the Clinton County grand jury for alleged trafficking in drugs based upon an August incident in Blanchester, and that there was an active felony warrant for her arrest, Reinbolt said.

Jeffers stopped at the car wash and arrested Stover. Another officer arrived to assist, and Stover’s car was searched.

“Inside the car officers found a baggie of marijuana, two baggies of suspected methamphetamine, two scales, $750 in cash and an air soft pistol that was very similar in appearance to a real firearm,” Reinbolt said.

Stover was arrested on the warrant and taken to the Clinton County Jail. The items seized from the car have been taken to the Ohio BCI laboratory for examination, Reinbolt said.
