The Clinton-Massie boys bowling team moved to 3-0 in South Central Ohio League action with wins over Washington and Miami Trace Wednesday at Royal Z Lanes.

The Falcons posted three bowlers with 400-plus series en route to a 2,535 score. Washington had 2,211 while Trace finished with 1,719.

“If they continue to bowl like they have been, I have a solid six-man team,” CM coach Shonda Marburger said. “All six of them are bowling very well. Jacob Wellman and Kenton McInerney have shown great improvement since last year. Most of the varsity boys team bowl during the off-season in the youth and high school leagues. Their ‘off-season conditioning’ has proven to be effective.”

Aric France had 194 and 232 games while Wellman finished with games of 233 and 190. McInerney had 172 and 244 games.

Also for Massie, Joey Marburger had 211 and 183. Single games were bowled by Chandler Morsch (169) and Corey Potts (168).

Baker games were 162, 203, 174.

On the girls side, Clinton-Massie’s trio came up short with an 869 while the Blue Lions had 1,884 and the Panthers had 1,442.

“Bowling with three girls is difficult, but they are getting the opportunity to bowl,” Marburger said. “Since the opening practices, they have shown improvement, which makes the coach happy. I have no doubt their improvement will continue.”

Jennifer Callewaert had 146 and 110 games to lead CM with a 256 series. Emily Rager had 112 and 100 while Kylie Harvey had 92 and 114.
