The Rodger O. Borror Middle School eighth grade boys basketball team defeated Chillicothe 34-32 Monday.
The young Hurricane, 3-1 on the year, won the game on Kendal France’s steal and layup with 5 seconds to play.
“The boys are playing hard and improving every day,” ROB coach Randall Davis said. “It was a great game by both sides. It came down to the last 10 seconds.”
Matt Butcher was top scorer with 17 points.
Peyton Hibbard had 6 points and Brandon Glass added 4. For France, the game-winning layup gave him 3 points in the game. Ben Zerby and Brady Vilvens had 2 points each.
