WILMINGTON — The Wilmington Police Department has recognized Ptl. Codey Juillerat, Det. Robert Wilson and Communications Officer Robin Cassell for their outstanding work in 2016.

During the WPD’s annual awards banquet, Ptl. Codey Juillerat was recognized as Officer of Year for 2016.

He “is an exceptional officer and always goes the extra mile for our citizens,” said WPD Chief Duane Weyand. “For his hard work we thank him and would like to recognize him as our 2016 Officer of the Year.”

Communications Officer Robin Cassell was honored “for her outstanding work. She is always positive and helpful to our citizens when they call for assistance,” Weyand said. “She has done an incredible job providing medical service over the phone and handling critical situations.”

The WPD also recognized Det. Robert Wilson for “his outstanding work in the detective unit,” Weyand said. “He has handled about 50 sex-offense cases this year, many involving minors. He has worked diligently on these cases as well as others and has done a tremendous job.”
