BHS junior to Capitol Challenge

Blanchester High School junior Audrey Heitzman was selected among 40 other students across the state for the Ohio Youth Capitol Challenge.

OYCC aims to provide civic education, public policy knowledge, leadership training, networking and scholarship money. This is a cooperative initiative of Ohio FFA, Ohio 4-H and Ohio Farm Bureau Federation where teens meet in Columbus several times throughout the spring & summer to learn about and get involved in public policy effecting Ohio.

Audrey is currently the FAA vice president and the newly elected 2017-18 president.

She and her team will present their suggestions for new policy to an audience at the Ohio State Fair in July. This is an exciting endeavor and an opportunity for Audrey to grow personally and explore agricultural career paths.
