LEES CREEK – Led by Sierra Christian, the East Clinton softball team defeated Washington 9-0 Monday in South Central Ohio League action at ECHS.
Christian pitched seven solid innings, allowing five hits and six walks. She struck out five and kept the Lady Blue Lions off the scoreboard.
The East Clinton defense played error-less ball while turning a double play and picking a runner off third base, defensive coach Jeanne Brightman said.
At the plate, Marah Dunn and Taylor Boeckmann had multiple hits and Tori Bailey blasted a two-run homer over the centerfield fence. Bailey finished with three runs batted in.
