52 wins Hurricane Open golf tournament

The team of Kyle Miller, Ges Stover, Jeremy Vinup and Davey Allen had a 52 and won the Hurricane Open golf outing Saturday at the Elks 797 Golf Club.

The Wilmington High School football program golf tournament featured 16 teams of four.

The runnerup team of Brian Long, Tony Berlin, Jordan Berlin and Travis Jackson had a 54.

Jordan Berlin won the long drive competition while Jake DeHart was closest to the pin. Chris McEvoy made the longest putt.

Hole sponsors for the event were Beacon Orthopaedics, Bennett Realty, LLC, Bush Auto Place, CMH Regional Health System, Camp’s Asphalt Sealing, Troy and Marianne Diels family, Dr. Rex Chiropractic, Drayer Physical Therapy, Gold Star Chili, Groves Tire and Service LLC, JBS Appraisal Services LLC, McIntosh Appraisals, Normac Company LLC, Roger and Sandra McLoney, Skyline Chili, Smith-Feike Minton Insurance, Superior Flooring, Vital Fitness, Wagstaff Family Dental, Wells Fargo, Wilmington Athletic Boosters, Wilmington Lions Club and Wilmington Savings Bank.
